Dr. Liss attended the University of Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Physiology and a minor in Aging and Longevity Studies. She then received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry. On externships, she was trained to diagnose, treat and manage ocular diseases, such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Additionally, she received training in dry eye and contact lens. During her education, she attended Alcon’s Academy for Academic Excellence program in Fort Worth, TX and CooperVision Brilliant Future Graduate program in Chicago, IL. Upon graduation, she received awards for Clinical Excellence in Contact Lens and the Practice Excellence Scholarship. Dr. Liss is also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Liss is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA). Dr. Liss is originally from a small town in Iowa. She moved down to Texas after graduation and enjoys baking, spending time outside, and traveling to new places.
